Calaveras County, CA — A Marysville woman was life-flighted out the area following a crash on Highway 4 near O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

It happened on Sunday afternoon, shortly before 3pm. 57-year-old Joyce Moeckli was driving a 2004 Ford pickup truck and pulling a camper. It began to fishtail while going into a grade, and the pickup truck overturned. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Moeckli was extricated from the truck by passing motorists, and she was later taken by air ambulance to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.

The only other passenger in the pickup truck, 66-year-old Jerry Moeckli sustained minor injuries.
