Sonora, CA — Roadwork began today on Woodhams Carne Road. The entire road, approximately 1.74 miles, from Tuolumne Road to Yosemite Road will be repaved.
According to the bid request the work consists of cold foam in-place recycling (partial depth reclamation with foamed asphalt) of the existing roadway, overlay with hot mix asphalt, hot mix asphalt safety edge, place shoulder backing, and traffic striping.
The Engineer’s Estimate for the project was between $430,000 and $475,000.
Work is scheduled to take place between 7am and 4pm Monday through Friday. One lane will be closed and a pilot car will be escorting traffic.
The project is scheduled to take less than 30 days to complete. George Reed Inc. is the contractor for the project with Durham Stabilization Inc a sub contractor.
