Sonora, CA — Plenty of you stepped up to help others by giving blood. The fifth annual Clarke Broadcasting Heroes Day in the Foothills Blood Drive was today. Organizers say 117 people come through the Blood Bank doors on Sanguinetti Road between 11- 6 p.m. They rolled up their sleeves and gave blood that could very well save a life.
AM1450 KVML, Star 92.7 FM, KKBN 93.5 FM, and myMotherLode.com joined with the Delta Blood Bank of Sonora to put on the community blood drive.
The Delta Blood Bank serves 15 community hospitals and 5 counties. Bank Officials report that one out of every 10 hospitalized patients need blood.
