Wires Crossing A School Bus

Sonora, CA — Emergency crews are heading to report of a school bus with wires down on the top of it in Sonora.  The bus is stopped on Racetrack Road near Johnny Avenue.  There are reports that the wires could be power lines. There is no word on whether any children are on the bus. The bus is blocking one lane of traffic.  We will bring you more details as soon as they are available.

Update 4 pm: The CHP reports that the wire are just cables and not power lines.  The wires have been removed from the bus and the roadway is clear.  There were no injuries reported.
