Applicants Wanted

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Board of Education is calling for applicants to fill a post. A vacant seat on its board has prompted a solicitation for applicants.

The position is for Trustee Area 7, which includes the Curtis Creek School District area and sections of Soulsbyville Elementary School District area north of Highway 108. It is a 4-year term starting in December of 2014 and ending December 2018.

T.C. Superintendent of Schools Joe Silva says you need these qualifications, “They should be a registered voter in trustee area 7. They should have an interest in Tuolumne County and in particular Curtis Creek and Soulsbyville, and they should be very fair minded.”

The deadline for submitting applications is September 24 5:00 p.m. The board will review the applicants and then conduct interviews at its the October meeting at 4 p.m. on Monday, October 13th at the County Schools Office located at 175 S. Fairview Lane, Sonora. The board is expected to make a decision on the new trustee during the meeting.
