Sonora, CA — Crews have poured the concrete today for the main retaining wall, which stretches about 800 feet along Mono Way.
Earlier this week, we reported that the roadway would be closed down at the Fir Drive intersection from Sunday night into Monday morning. That time frame has been changed.
Sonora City Engineer Jerry Fuccillo says the closure has been extended from Sunday into Wednesday of next week. Crews will be working overnight to install a storm drain at the intersection from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. each night.
The project is slated to be completed in December, but that all depends on the weather according to Fuccillo. He says that if we get wet cold weather, the final paving may have to wait until spring.
