Sonora, CA — You can have a say on downtown Sonora development. The Vision Sonora group is holding a special meeting open to the public next week.
“We are really trying to outreach and get the public involved,” says Community Development Director for the City of Sonora Rachelle Kellogg. “There was a lot of public involvement in the planning process, and now we want them to get involved in the implementation process of the plan.”
Kellogg says at the meeting all the projects will be listed and the public will be asked to help prioritize the list. She says that way they can start looking for funding. Two projects in the plan have already received funding you can click here for an earlier story detailing those projects.
The meeting is Thursday, October 2 in the council chambers at Sonora City Hall located at 94 north Washington Street and begins at 2 p.m.
