Sonora, CA – Two Mother Lode mountain passes have reopened. Caltrans reports Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass and Highway 108 Sonora Pass have reopened.
Both were closed yesterday morning in anticipation of a snowfall hitting the high country. Ebbetts pass opened this morning.
Caltrans Spokesperson Angela Daprato says, “Crews were able to remove 4 inches of snow on Sonora Pass allowing it to open at 1 p.m. today.”
We are still awaiting word from Yosemite official on when Highway 120 Tioga pass will open. It was closed at Crane Flat yesterday afternoon. You can check on all the highway conditions by clicking here or go to the home page and click on traffic.
