Sonora, CA — One local mountain pass remains closed while another is scheduled to shut down as a wintry storm approaches the high county.
Highway 120 Tioga is still closed, as previously reported, due to 2–3 inches of snow on the road, which has kept plow crews busy. The roadway will remain closed for the incoming storm. In addition, Caltrans has decided to close Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass at noon tomorrow. Caltrans officials say no decision has been made as of yet on whether to shut down Highway 108 Sonora Pass due to the storm.
