Calaveras County, CA — The CHP is on scene of an accident on Highway 49 in Calaveras County.
A vehicle reportedly hit a bear just south of the San Domingo Creek. It’s not immediately clear if the bear was hit last night or early this morning. The bear is not blocking traffic, but Fish and Game and Caltrans have both been notified about the situation. Be prepared for some activity in the area.
