Angels Camp, CA – Holiday cheer will be found in Angels Camp this Saturday at 5 pm with the 24th Annual Parade of Lights.
Karen Knuist, the Administrator and Spokesperson for the Angels Camp Business Association (ACBA), was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
The Wine Stroll and Open House will begin at 4 p.m. and run through 8 p.m.
Businesses in Angels Camp are encouraged to keep their doors open, hold special sales and offer treats.
The Christmas parade route runs from St Patrick’s Church and comes down main street in Angels Camp to the creek.
Following the parade, candlelit caroling will take place beginning at the creek and will move up the street to the Calaveras Visitor’s Center. That is where the downtown Angels Camp Christmas tree (which will be lit on Saturday) is located.
The guest of honor throughout this time in Angels Camp is Santa. The jolly man will ride in the parade and then meet with kids in the downtown area near the Calaveras Visitors Center.
The ACBA has been around for more than forty years and, according to Knuist, it is similar to a Chamber of Commerce, only on a smaller scale with a concentrated focus on the community.
Membership is open to any company doing business in Angels Camp as well as to individuals. Membership provides opportunities for networking, cross-marketing and promotion.
