Flash Flood Watch And Winter Storm Warning Updates

A Flash Flood Watch continues for Tuolumne County and the Sierra Nevada through late Wednesday night.

Runoff from heavy rain showers or thunderstorms may cause flash flooding in the Rim Burn and other burn scar areas.

An additional three-quarters of an inch of rainfall is expected over the burn areas, through Wednesday night.

Rainfall rates could exceed one half inch per hour during any storm.

A Flood Watch has also been issued for the Sierra Nevada through late Wednesday night.

Additionally,  the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Sierra Nevada above 7000 feet, through 4 AM Thursday.

Two inches to two feet of additional snow accumulation is expected.

Winds of twenty-five to thirty-five mph will continue.
