Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors will hold an evening meeting in February to discuss possible revisions to the General Plan.
The last General Plan update was in 1996, and it is considered to be a roadmap for growth and development in the county. The Supervisors directed staff members in September of 2013 to begin the process of updating the General Plan, and much work has been completed over the past several months.
On February 3, at 6pm, the Board will be briefed on proposed revisions, and have a chance to give additional input and direction. The meeting will be open to the public. That information that evening will be documented by staff, and the initial draft of the General Plan will then be completed sometime around the summer of 2015. It will then go through the Planning Commission, and eventually before the Supervisors.
The General Plan update is being coordinated in conjunction with the Tuolumne County Transportation Council’s Regional Transportation Plan. Two separate environmental reviews prepared concurrently will address the impacts of the plans, in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act.
