West Point, CA — Firefighters are heading to a vegetation fire in West Point on John Eaph Trail near Smitty Lane. There are reports of power lines down. However, there is no word if those lines are energized. Cal Fire does not have a size, rate of spread or whether any structures are threatened at this time. We will bring you more information as soon as it comes into the News Center.
Update 2:45 p.m.: Cal Fire reports a large spot is on fire and when crews arrived residents were working to put out the flames. There is power line down and PG&E has been called to the scene.
