The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the Northern San Joaquin Valley through 6 PM tonight (Wednesday).
Northeast winds of fifteen to twenty-five mph will continue, with gusts up to forty mph.
Additionally, a Wind Advisory is in effect for the western slope of the Northern Sierra Nevada until 6 PM tonight (Wednesday).
Northeast winds of twenty-five to thirty-five mph are likely, with gusts up to sixty mph.
The gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
There are currently no chain or snow tire restrictions up to the winter closure gates on Highways 108, 4, or 120. There are also no restrictions on Highway 88 (Carson Pass). For the latest road conditions, click the traffic tab on myMotherLode.com.
