Sonora, CA – Those interested in becoming part of future marina expansion efforts at Glory Hole Recreation Area at New Melones Lake now have until mid-February to submit business proposals.
The Bureau of Reclamation recently amended its Dec. 10 prospectus, which seeks interested parties to bid on opportunities available under contract for long-term development and operations of marina concession facilities and services. Under the amendment, the bureau indicates that it will accept proposals through Tuesday, Feb. 17.
The bureau outlines its vision for a marina concession operation as one that provides marine fuel and waste water pump-out; rentals of pleasure craft and commercial houseboats; slips for pleasure craft and private houseboats; and seasonal mooring ball rentals. The bureau optimally would include retail sales; overnight cabin/yurt sites; full-service RV sites; on-site parking; dry boat storage; and marine mechanic services.
Additionally, the bureau outlines land-based support facilities requirements that include paved and unpaved roads; a marina access ramp; parking lots; lighting; restroom facilities; and landscaping; some of these elements the bureau plans to provide.
Interested parties may submit a business proposal through Federal Business Opportunity, website. To locate the opportunity, type “MP-14-238” in the keyword/solicitation box.
