Sonora, CA — Planned paving work overnight on the Mono Way widening project was postponed due to the rainfall.
We reported previously that some of the final paving work took place Sunday night and into Monday, and work was also scheduled for last night into this morning, and tonight into Wednesday morning. City of Sonora Engineer Jerry Fucillo says the contractor, George Reed Inc., is tentatively planning to pick up work again this evening, weather permitting. A final decision will be made late this afternoon. If the construction goes as scheduled, and you plan to travel through the work zone, between 7pm-7am, be prepared for at least 10 minute delays.
There will remain access to all businesses and homes.
