Sonora, CA — A Sonora woman was hit by a vehicle this morning, and the Police Department is looking for the driver involved.

The Sonora PD reports that 36-year-old Naomi Parise was walking across Bradford Street, when she was hit by a vehicle that had just turned from Washington Street. A witness nearby said the vehicle appeared to be an older Ford sedan, possibly a Taurus or Focus, and it was either tan or gray in color. It was reportedly traveling at at high rate of speed, and it did not stop after striking Parise.
Parise was taken by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center because of head trauma, and a laceration on her back. The incident happened at 5:53am, and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Sonora PD at 209-532-8141.
