Sonora, CA — A local organization, designed to help the agricultural community, and promote the rural way of life, has elected new leaders.
Shaun Crook has been selected to serve as President of the Tuolumne County Farm Bureau, Lettie Beeman as 1st Vice President, and Ken Fleming as the 2nd Vice President. Terri Arrington will be the new Treasurer and Nathan Rosasco will continue as Corporate Secretary.
The organization’s Executive Director, Elena Linehan, reports that Crook and Beeman recently represented Tuolumne County Farm Bureau at a California Farm Bureau Federation meeting. Linehan says, “Using the theme of ‘California Agriculture Caught in Crosshairs,’ the focus was the ongoing challenges farmers and ranchers face due to the drought and burdensome regulations.”
On the national level, the American Farm Bureau Federation held their annual convention in San Diego this month. Linehan was in attendance, as was local resident Sasha Farkas, as a District Director for the California Farm Bureau Board.
