T.U.D. Will Hear About Debt

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne Utilities District is holding a special meeting on Monday, and only one item is on the agenda.

The Board of Directors will hear a presentation on the district’s finances, including cash available, fund advances, long term debt, operating income, net income and unfunded liabilities. The T.U.D. Board receives periodic finance reports from staff members. However, some board members were disappointed at a recent meeting that the reports do not show the big picture, when it comes to long-term debt and unfunded liabilities. The Board felt it was in the best interest of them, and the public,  to have a clear understanding what the district faces ahead. The special meeting will start at 5:30pm in the T.U.D. Board meeting room, and it will be open to the public.
