Twain Harte, CA — Forest Service firefighters are on the scene of a vegetation fire in Tuolumne County.
Cal Fire has also been called to the blaze on Elizabeth Peak Road and Mount Elizabeth in Twain Harte. The brush fire is a 1/2 acre in size, burning brush. There is no word on whether any structures are threatened or the rate of spread at this time. We will bring you more information as it becomes available.
Update 3:40 p.m.: Cal Fire reports two of its engines are now on scene with another one and a water tender heading to the blaze. Firefighters have been able to run a line around the blaze, according to Cal Fire.
Update 4 p.m.: Cal Fire reports the flames have been contained at 1/10 of an acre.
