Several Fires In Tuolumne County

Sonora, CA – It has been a busy 24 hours for firefighters.

Sunday afternoon a fire destroyed a home on Old Oak Ranch Road in the Big Hill area.  The cause is still under investigation. Also yesterday afternoon there was a two acre vegetation fire along Punch Bowl Road in the vicinity of Ferretti Road.

Last night, fire did minor damage to a home on Twist Road in Jamestown. The cause is unknown. And this morning, also in Jamestown, officials are on scene of a garage fire in the 18000 block of Shell Road, near Old Melones Dam Road. It was quickly contained, but officials remain on scene.
