Columbia, CA — Columbia Elementary School District has hired a new Superintendent/Principal.
The newly created joint position will be filled by a longtime educator in the Central Valley, Craig Bowden. The Columbia Elementary Board of Trustees appointed Bowden during last night’s school board meeting. Bowden was most recently Superintendent/Principal at Washington Colony Elementary School in Fresno.
The Columbia Elementary district confirms that Bowden will formally assume his new responsibilities on July 1. Bowden is taking over for retiring Superintendent John Pendley, and outgoing Principal Ed Pelfrey.
Last month the Washington Colony School District posted a statement about Bowden leaving his duties. Click here to read more.
