Sonora, CA – Even Mother Nature can’t stop the Spring Fling in Sonora.
With possible wet weather heading into the Mother Lode this weekend, some might think the Sonora Spring Festival in the downtown area would be cancelled. Not so, says the city’s Special Events Coordinator Sheila Wilkinson. “Vendors will still be out on the sidewalks under the alcoves and music will still be under the alcoves…maybe on a lesser scale, but it will still go on, rain or shine — and we’re hoping for shine,” adds Wilkinson.
The event is free to the public and runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is fun for the whole family with arts and crafts, live music, street entertainment, and a hair and fashion show by Sonora High Cosmetology. The activities run along North Washington Street from the red church to the Sonora Opera.
