Tioga Pass Opening Monday

Sonora, CA — This is the final weekend that Highway 120 Tioga Pass will be closed in Yosemite National Park.

Yosemite Ranger Kari Cobb says the pass will open for the season at 8am on Monday. She says the pass typically opens around Memorial Day weekend, but it came earlier this year due to the lack of snowfall. Limited visitor services will be available over the next few weeks, and all campgrounds along Tioga Pass are still closed. All commercial services, including the gas station, village grill and store are also closed.

We reported previously that Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass and Highway 108 Sonora Pass are also open for the summer travel season.
