Sonora, CA — It will be a busy weekend for the five candidates hoping to become the 2015 Mother Lode Roundup Queen.
This year’s candidates are Trisha Berg, Ivana Kursar, Evon Meckler, Paige Ryan and Mary Suess. All five will take part in the Queen Horsemanship competition this Saturday morning at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds. The event is open to the public and starts at 10am. Doors open for the queen pageant at 5pm, Sunday, at the Sonora Opera Hall. The entry fee is $10.
Last year’s queen was Sylvana Talamantes.
