Twain Harte, CA — The Stanislaus National Forest will be conducting an emergency mock drill late this morning and early afternoon.
Emergency responders, and fire equipment, will be arriving in the South Fork area, near Italian Bar Road, outside of Twain Harte. It is possible that you will hear some sirens. For those that monitor scanners, you could also hear some chatter related to the drill. Stanislaus National Forest officials want to be clear that it is only a drill, and there is no need for concern. It is being done in preparation of the upcoming fire season.
