It is a weekend full of spring events planned for the last few days of May in the Mother Lode.
Today and Saturday the group Sonora Vets Helping Vets are hosting a yard sale. Their event listing says “We have had so many donations from our caring community that we are overstocked and need to clear some room.” The times an location are in the event listing.
Soroptimist International of Twain Harte will hold its 18th annual Twain Harte A La Carte on Saturday, in Meadow Plaza in beautiful downtown Twain Harte. Enjoy wine tasting and gourmet food from local food venders. There will also be raffles, a silent auction and a live auction. Proceeds benefit local charities. Columbia State Historic Park is hosting “Diggins Tent Town 1852”, an annual living history event. The event started May 29th and will go thru Sunday. The Tent Town allows visitors to interact and observe the lifestyles of the early miners as they prepare their meals, launder their clothing, and look for gold. Sunday the Tuolumne County Master Gardener annual Garden Tour will be hosted at six sites. This year the theme is ‘Changing Times, Changing Gardens.” and includes two demonstrations of three themes; home gardens, school gardens and public/education sites. The details are in the event listing.
Talent Auditions are tomorrow at two locations in Calaveras. The Calaveras Has Talent event will benefit Support Music Calaveras which provides money for music programs in all Calaveras schools.
Enjoy a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser at the Sonora Moose Lodge Saturday morning. Proceeds benefit Nick Harris.
Luc’s Run is a fundraiser for the Major Lucas Gruenther Legacy Foundation. This Saturday participate in the 2-mile or 6-mile runs starting at the Tuolumne Memorial Park. Details are in the event listing.
Calaveras Door of Hope is hosting a Heroes Fun Run on Saturday. It will be a 5k run, 12k run, or a 2 mile walk at White Pines Park in Arnold. There will also be a party in the park with: silent auction, raffle prizes, and food vendors.
