East Sonora Fire Contained

Sonora, CA — Firefighters have quickly contained a vegetation fire in the 18000 block of Lambert Lake Road in East Sonora.

The fire ignited shortly before the noon hour, and it was less than an acre in size. No homes or other structures were damaged. What caused the fire is still under investigation. CAL Fire reports that a hand crew and some engines will remain on scene this afternoon to fully extinguish the fire.
