Sheriff’s Office Investigating Angels Camp Shooting

Angels Camp, CA — A person died from gunshot wounds in Angels Camp late yesterday afternoon.

It happened along Chaparajos Street. Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Sgt. Anthony Eberhardt confirms that the person shot did pass away from the injuries. Sgt. Eberhardt could not provide any further details at this time, in relation to what happened, or how many people were involved.  He promised that more information will be forthcoming.

When asked if it was a “homicide investigation,” Sgt. Eberhardt said he could not comment, however, he did confirm that it was not a suicide. We’ll pass along more information as it comes into the news center.
