Tuolumne, CA — The Tuolumne County Supervisors approved a revised agreement that will allow vendors to take part in this summer’s Tuolumne Village Farmers Market.
Some vendors were recently missing at the popular Wednesday evening event at Tuolumne Park, and it was due to issues related to insurance. Tuolumne County back in 2006 entered into an agreement with Upsprout Farms to co-sponsor the weekly market. County Administrator Craig Pedro stated at yesterday’s Supervisors meeting, “They changed who actually runs the market, and they are now doing it through the Tuolumne Farmers Market Vendor Association. In order to extend our insurance, which allows those farmers markets to go on, we need to approve a new agreement.”
The Board voted 5-0 in favor of a new agreement, and the county will continue co-sponsoring the event, which runs through October.
