Sonora, CA — The unemployment rate for both the state and Mother Lode region declined last month.
Tuolumne County’s rate dropped to 6.7% in June, compared to 6.8% in May. Calaveras County’s rate fell to 6.2%, as opposed to 6.4% the month prior.
Statewide, sectors that added jobs include manufacturing, trade, transportation, utilities and health services. Sectors that posted declines include mining, logging, construction, leisure, information and government. Marin County and San Francisco County continue to post the lowest unemployment rates in the state at 3.4% and 3.5%. The rate is the highest in Imperial County at 21.1%.
