Sonora, CA — Two people were hurt after being hit by a vehicle on Mono Way.

It happened late last week near the Timberhills Shopping Center. Police Chief Mark Stinson reports that 41-year-old Sherry Kilboum and her 16-year-old son were attempting to cross Mono Way during the evening hours, and were hit by a Chevy SUV driven by 84-year-old Gloria Lynch of Sonora. There are no crosswalks in that area. Chief Stinson notes that the crash is still under investigation. Kilboum suffered moderate injuries and her son sustained major injuries.
