According to the National Weather Service, additional fire starts will be a possibility in the Sierra Nevada this weekend due to scattered thunderstorm activity.
This is due to monsoonal moisture which has been spreading northward and will continue to affect the mountain range through Sunday.
Impacts on outdoor recreation, such as hiking and boating are the main issues.
