MYACT means Mountain Youth and Community Theatre and it offers opportunities for the children, youth and adults in the Mother Lode to become involved in theatre, music and dance.

Terry Northcutt, MYACT Board of Directors President, was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

The 501(c)3 group offers classes and programs throughout the year that culminate in full performances.

The facility is located on Cuesta Court in Sonora.

This Saturday evening, MYACT’s largest fundraiser of the year will take place the home of Roger and Judy Haughton, located at 23613 Confidence-South Fork Road in Twain Harte.

The third annual fundraiser is called, “Mid August Nights Dream”.

This is a catered event with a full open bar, live and silent auctions, music to listen too and full performances by the MYACT players.

Tickets are still available and can either be purchased either at the door or by calling (209) 533-8633.
