Sonora, CA — A traffic alert from Tuolumne Utilities District (TUD) regarding a couple of sewer repairs that could cause traffic to stink for motorists in Sonora next week.
TUD’s wastewater department will be doing two sewer-lining projects next week. One is in the Phoenix Lake Road area and the other in downtown Sonora. Beginning on Tuesday and running through Wednesday on Phoenix Lake Road from Meadow Brook Drive to about a mile West of Phoenix Lake Road there will be flaggers directing traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. TUD reports motorists could face fifteen-minute delays.
Then on Thursday evening, crews will make additional sewer repairs on North Washington Street in Sonora. Traffic controls will be in place from 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. There will be five-minute delays on that stretch of roadway.
