Stockton, CA — Caltrans plans a paving operation along with targeted improvement projects and seasonal maintenance chores along several highways next week.
As previously reported, Caltrans will conduct a full road closure on a stretch of Highway 108 east of Jamestown each weekday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. The signed detour will send motorists along a V-shaped detour route between the highway and Chinese Camp, using both Highway 108/120 Yosemite Junction and the more eastern Highway 108 turnoff towards Yosemite. Plan for delays due to the zigzag detour.
In Calaveras County, long-term construction in Valley Springs continues along the shoulder of Highway 12 between Pine Street and Cosgrove Creek. Overnight utility work each weeknight from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. between Pine Street and Lime Creek Road may cause motorist delays of up to ten minutes.
Related 24-hour construction activity along Highway 26 between Nove Way and Highway 12 continues in the #1 of 2 lanes and on the right shoulder. Overnight utility work will additionally be ongoing between Nove Way and Double Springs Road, possibly generating ten-minute delays.
In Tuolumne County, along Highway 108, a host of activities will focus in the Soulsbyville area. Fence work is scheduled between Soulsbyville and County Dump roads Tuesday through Friday from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Expect delays of about five minutes there and impacts in the #2 of 2 lanes. Work also continues on the bike lane, sidewalk and right shoulder from 7:30 a.m. until midnight every weekday. Monday only, in the same area from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m., work on the median barrier may generate brief delays and impact the #1 of 2 lanes. Monday and Tuesday both, Caltrans will be working on the traffic signals from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Excavation work also continues along Highway 120 next Monday through Friday between Hardin Flat and Evergreen roads from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. The work zone will be under one-way traffic control and generate delays of about ten minutes.
Finally, along Highway 132, maintenance work between the Mariposa/Tuolumne County Line and Enebro Way each weekday may set motorists back about five minutes between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
