Angels Camp, CA — The area northwest of the Highway 4 and 49 intersection in Angels Camp could be primed for growth in the future.
In preparation, a Gateway and Corridor Study is being finalized by the City of Angels Camp and Calaveras Council of Governments. It is looking at issues like mobility, community connectivity, the potential for new housing, economic development and retaining character. Funding for the plan came from a $150,000 grant from Caltrans.
City of Angels Camp Planning Director David Hanham says the community can receive an update on the plan, and give input, at a meeting scheduled for this Wednesday evening at 5:30pm in the Bret Harte High School Learning Center.
In the next few months the final draft plan will be submitted for approval to the City of Angels Camp Planning Commission, Angels Camp City Council and the Calaveras Council of Governments.
The map in the upper left hand box shows the entire area included in the study.
