San Andreas, CA — A man visiting the Mother Lode was transported to Mark Twain Medical Center following a crash on Highway 49.
It happened during the noon hour on Thursday near the intersection of Deer Creek Road. The CHP reports that 55-year-old Anthony Wykes of Germantown Maryland was riding a 2013 Harley Davidson, when for unknown reasons, he lost control and was ejected. Wykes suffered “moderate injuries” according to the CHP, and both he and the vehicle ended up in the southbound lane of Highway 49. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
