Stockton, CA – Caltrans personnel will be tackling plenty of roadway chores along Mother Lode highways next week, with a few work zones setting up Sunday.
Beginning Sunday through the workweek, overnight K-rail removal on Highways 12 and 26 may cause-ten minute delays for motorists. On Highway 12, the work will focus between Pine Street and Lime Creek Road and on Highway 26 between Nove Way and Double Springs Road. The work zones will be in place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Also in the area, drainage work between Cosgrove Creek and East Highway 26 will set up each weekday from 8:45 a.m. until 3 pm. on both shoulders, which may cause five-minute delays.
Round-the-clock construction continues on Highway 12 through mid-November between Pine Street and Cosgrove Creek as well as on Highway 26 between Nove Way and Highway 12.
In Tuolumne County, more overnight paving near Jamestown begins Sunday and runs through Friday morning, from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., this week focusing between Highway 108/120 and Chicken Ranch Road. Expect at least ten-minute delays during operations, under one-way traffic control.
Sunday only, along Highway 49, a utility crew is slated to work between Pesce Way and Wyckoff Street from 7 until 10:30 a.m., which should not cause any delays.
In Calaveras County, other work activity along Highway 26 includes: weekday shoulder work between Highway 12 and the Calaveras/Amador County line from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., which may generate brief delays; utility work between Campo Seco Turnpike and east of Alabama Hill from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.; and more slope repair and tree work between Happy Valley and Lower Dorray roads from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m., which may cause ten-minute delays.
On Highway 49, utility work along the shoulder slated for Monday in the Angels Road area from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. should not cause any traffic impacts.
Along Highway 108, drainage cleaning each weekday will be going on between Sandhouse/Pinecrest Dump Road and Herring Creek Road from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., with minor delays possible.
Three work zones are planned on Highway 120. Each weekday, slope repair and cleaning between Pine Tree Point and Ferndale Road will be in place from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., causing five-minute delays. During the same days and times, pavement work is scheduled between the Groveland Creek Bridge into Groveland, where motorists should plan for ten-minute delays. On Tuesday only, striping operations between Hardin Flat and Evergreen roads are likely to generate ten-minute traffic interruptions from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
