Mind Matters Again Seeks New Leader

Murphys, CA — Three months after accepting the position, former Stanislaus Union School District Superintendent Wayne Brown is stepping down as the head of Mind Matters in Murphys.

The non-profit group says Brown’s reasoning was “pressing family problems.” In a statement released through Mind Matters, Brown complimented the organization and said, “My personal issues were unexpected but are important enough for me to make this difficult decision.”

Chair of the Clinic’s Board of Directors, Jan Alcade says, “We were very disappointed to receive this news. We felt in Wayne we had found an ideal person to lead Mind Matters in its quest to meet the needs of families throughout our area as they deal with the issues of autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD/ADD), and learning disabilities.  We were particularly pleased with his efforts to interact with the various school systems.”

The Mind Matters board is planning to appoint an interim Executive Director and begin the search for a full-time replacement.
