Vehicle Vs. Pedestrian Crash

Mono Vista, CA — The CHP reports major injuries after a bizarre solo vehicle accident in the Mono Vista area near Soulsbyville and Highway 108.

The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the 21000 block of Oman Drive, which parallels Highway 108. According to the CHP, for unknown reasons a passenger in the vehicle fell out while it was moving. The vehicle then ran over the person. The victim sustained major injuries in the accident and was taken by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center. There are no further details on the person’s condition. The CHP has not released any additional information on the incident, except to say it is currently under investigation.
