Sonora, CA — The cost to fill up the gas tank is much less expensive than this time last year.
The Lundberg Survey puts the nationwide average price for a gallon of regular unleaded at $2.14. It is 70-cents below what the price was during the Thanksgiving holiday in 2014. The price has also declined 11-cents over just the past two weeks.
The Lundberg Survey is anticipating that prices will continue to drop during December as crude oil prices have been falling. The myMotherLode.com Gas price section shows that regular unleaded is selling in Sonora between $2.45 to $2.69 and in San Andreas from $2.49 to $2.65.
The highest average price is in Los Angeles at $2.76 per gallon and the lowest is Indianapolis at $1.79.
Meanwhile, the average price of diesel is $2.50 per gallon, down about four cents from two weeks ago.
