Stockton, CA — Those 15-minute delays along Highway 26 are back this week between Happy Valley and Lower Dorray roads.
The stretch has been a hot spot for motorist delays these past few weeks. On Monday, Caltrans announced the crews will be back in place every weekday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. doing miscellaneous work, ahead of the winter wet weather ahead. To avoid delays, motorists may want to plan ahead to seek an alternate route during those times.
As earlier reported, this week Caltrans is also slated to work in the following areas:
In Valley Springs, on Highway 12, ongoing long-term construction around the clock along the shoulder between Pine Street and Cosgrove Creek may bring five-minute delays all week, as will related work on Highway 26 between Nove Way and Highway 12.
On Highway 26, Monday and Tuesday, utility work between Savage Way and Nichols Road, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., will likely cause five-minute traffic impacts; similar work every week day between Main Street and Gill Haven Drive may generate brief delays.
Motorists should anticipate five-minute setbacks as Caltrans attends to bridgework at the South Fork of Mokelumne River on Highway 26 Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Along Highway 49, in Calaveras County, daily shoulder work between the Tuolumne/Calaveras County line and Redhill Road from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. may bring brief traffic stops.
Drainage work along Highway 49 between Vista Point and the Mariposa/Tuolumne County line along both shoulders Wednesday through Friday may generate brief motorist delays from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
In Tuolumne County, survey work on Highway 49, Monday through Thursday, along the right shoulder between Smoke Street and Woods Creek, may cause five-minute traffic impacts from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
More shoulder work on Highway 120, from Highway 49 North to Highway 108/Yosemite Junction, slated Monday through Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., may also bring brief delays.
