Update at 10:15am: PG&E reports that progress is being made restoring the power outages in Arnold. At one point there were over 1,500 customers without electricity, and the number is now down to around 175. PG&E located a damaged power pole and is working to make needed repairs. It is not immediately clear when there will be full restoration.
Original story posted at 7:13am: Sonora, CA — Some PG&E customers are without electricity in Arnold this morning.
PG&E reports there are several separate incidents that are impacting nearly 1,500 customers. PG&E is responding to assess the situation, and it is not immediately clear what caused the outages, or when the customers will be restored. Arnold did receive snowfall overnight. Areas notably impacted include Lakeside Terrace, Fly-In Acres, Ponderosa Road, Pine Lake Drive, Tipton House Road, Patricia Lane and Gertrude Way.

The storm system passing through is resulting in some traffic hazards and slick roads, so the CHP is advising motorists to travel with caution and allow yourself extra time this morning.
A Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service was in effect for the Sierra Nevada through 7am today. Additional wet weather is anticipated later this weekend. Click here for that information.
