Community Donates Big To Interfaith

Sonora, CA — The final numbers have been tabulated from Clarke Broadcasting’s Cash Drive For Interfaith.

The community donated $26,638 to help provide food for those in need in Tuolumne County. Interfaith Director Cathie Peacock calls it “extraordinary” news. The money was primarily raised during the on-air radioathon during the Big Joe and Bridgette Show on 93.5 KKBN and Morning Star Café on Star 92.7 with Mark and Maryann. In addition to the cash, 877 coats were dropped off at Standard Park during Saturday’s Santa Fly-In.

Interfaith provides food to around 675 Tuolumne County families a month, which equates to around 1,500-1,600 people.  The organization continues to see a growing need in the community, so Peacock says the donations are greatly appreciated.

Interfaith Social Services is located at 18500 Striker Court in Sonora.
