Sonora, CA — A decision on whether to issue a Design Review Permit for a planned beer garden has been put on hold.
We reported yesterday that Trado Restaurant submitted a proposal to the City of Sonora to open a beer garden at 198 S. Green Street. The business would also have outdoor seating by utilizing existing storage space on the property. It is a location where live music could be played periodically.
City of Sonora Community Development Director Rachelle Kellogg reports that the item was pulled last night, by the commissioners, at the request of Trado Restaurant. She anticipates the proposal could be taken up at a future meeting.
The commission also took a step toward regulating medical marijuana cultivation in the city, by okaying an ordinance that would allow up to six plants for patients and caregivers. The City Council will be tasked with making the final decision on the matter at an upcoming meeting.
