T.U.D. Will Vote On Waterline Extension For SRMC

Sonora, CA — In anticipation of Sonora Regional Medical Center’s new cancer center, the T.U.D. Board of Directors will vote on approving plans to extend a water line to service it.

The developer (SRMC) is required to actually construct the project, but it will be done under the supervision of the water district. Water service to the Outpatient Pavilion, which will be located near the intersection of Greenley Road and Mono Way, will require the construction of 77 ft. of ten inch water pipeline, two water services and one hydrant. In addition, SRMC is hoping to extend a water pipeline, with three hydrants and related facilities, into the parcel for fire protection service. It is noted in meeting documents that T.U.D. has sufficient water supply to serve the project, and the “change in use fees” will bring the district an additional $41,354 for water and $15,454 for sewer.

In other business, the board will discuss spending around $3,800 for IPads that would be used by members of the board for district business. The purpose would be to reduce, or eliminate, the need to print on paper the lengthy agenda packets for each meeting.

Tuesday’s meeting will start at 5:30pm in the Board meeting room.
