Update at 5:45pm: PG&E reports the estimated time of repair for the remaining 50 customers in the Forest Meadows area of Calaveras County will be 4pm Friday. Crews are working to repair damaged equipment on two poles.
Update at 2:30pm: Most of the power has been restored to customers in the Buck Meadows area, according to PG&E. Only 4 out of the original 115 customers still have no electricity. Their lights have been out for more than 18 hours. The company reports a broken power pole is to blame. Additionally, the company reports crews found damaged equipment on two poles in the Forest Meadows area of Calaveras County that are impacting 50 customers. The crews are working to fix the problem now but there is no estimated time of repair.
Update at 1:30pm: PG&E reports the power has been restored to the 113 customers in the Tuttletown area along French Flat Road and Reynolds Ferry Road. Some of the power has been restored to customers in the Buck Meadows area. Out the original 115 customers without lights since around 8 p.m. Wednesday, 97 along Highway 120 and Hardin Flat Road remain without electricity. The company reports a broken power pole is to blame citing a crew is headed to the area at this hour but no estimated restoration time has been given. Another nearly 50 customers in the Forest Meadows region of Calaveras County have been without power since 9 a.m. PG&E has not yet determined a cause or given an estimated time of repair.
Update at 12pm: PG&E has now restored power to the 2,500 PG&E customers in and around Arnold that went without electricity earlier today. That said, there are several other smaller outages. 113 customers are without power near the Tuttletown area. It is impacting areas like French Flat Road and Reynolds Ferry Road. PG&E is still looking into the cause. There are nearly 50 customers without electricity in the Forest Meadows region of Calaveras County. In the Buck Meadows area, there are 115 customers without electricity. It’s notably impacting Hardin Flat Road. Update at 10:30am: PG&E is reporting that 2,501 customers are without electricity in Arnold. The company reports that it is not immediately clear when the customers will be restored.
Update at 8am: Some PG&E power outages have been restored, while additional areas are now without electricity. As it stands right now, there remains 134 customers without electricity in the Groveland area, 112 near Sheep Ranch, 91 in Mountain Ranch, 53 near Wilseyville, 17 just south of San Andreas, and some other smaller outages scattered throughout the Mother Lode. PG&E has multiple crews on scene this morning.
Original story posted at 6am: Sonora, CA — There are some power outages in the Mother Lode this morning, following the heavy winds overnight.
In the Big Hill Road area there are 128 PG&E customers without electricity. A broken power pole was located. Full restoration is anticipated early this morning. 50 customers are without electricity east of Twain Harte, and PG&E is still looking into the cause. In addition, 134 customers are without power in Groveland, and the cause is still being investigated. There is word yet on when those customers will be restored. 15 customers are without electricity near Confidence.
In Calaveras County, 63 customers are without power north of San Andreas, and 17 south of San Andreas near Pool Station Road. There are also several trees down across Mother Lode roadways, so use caution this morning.
