Update at 8:40am: PG&E reports that all but two customers have been restored from the widespread outage that happened at 7:15am. A crew remains on scene making needed repairs.
Original story posted at 7:30am: West Point, CA — There is a power outage in Calaveras County impacting 2,764 PG&E customers.
A tree has fallen into a powerline in the area of Highway 26 north of the community of West Point. PG&E is responding to the scene, and company officials hope to have the power restored to the impacted customers by around 9am. It happened at around 7:15am.
